b. 1971 in Barcelona. Roser Diaz is a freelance independent photographer based in Bristol, UK. She graduated from Barcelona University with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature. At the tender age of five she got her first camera (a little toy camera), but her true interest for photography developed when she studied several informal courses during her years living in London”. Afterwards, she completed her degree in Technical Artistic Photography, and she was selected by the prestigious Commissioner, Rafael Doctor (ex-director of the MUSAC), for her final project, ManSOS, in the last edition of the portfolio review at -Emergent International Photography Festival. Her works normally focuses on street photography, but she has worked on documenting some art festivals, and she is also interested in photographing architecture and interiors."To me, basically, photography is all about to know where I am: here, and who I am: this moment. It is through the lens that I lose consciousness of breathing, and I forget myself to meet with myself again, because ultimately: what we see is what we are. " RD
